WILKES COUNTY, NC - BIBLES - Benjamin Parks, Sr. Family Bible

Benjamin Parks, Sr. born March 25, 1746 left this Birth Record of 
family. The pages are titled "Family Register". The Bible belongs 
to Lois Humiston of Mancos, Colorado. Her niece, Charlotte Baxstrom, 
also of Mancos, CO, indicated that the Bible was passed down from 
Benjamin to Flemmon, to Joseph E. Parks, to Emma (daughter of 
Joseph E.), and finally to Lois (daughter of Emma).  She indicated 
that it was very old and there were pages missing. She could find no 
date. However, from a fly leaf of the New Testament section of the 
Bible, there was enough information that with the help of the 
American Bible Society in New York, they indicated it was printed 
and published by Henry C. Sleight: 
New York in 1828. 
That was 11 years before Benjamin died.
