WILKES COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - John Bagby & J. Martin and T. Green to Wm. Alvey, 25 Oct 1802 ----¤¤¤¤---- John Bagby & J. Martin and T. Green to Wm. Alvey 100 Acres ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This Indenture made between John Bagby, John Martin and Thomas Green of the one part & William Alvey of the other part all of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina henceforth that for the consideration of the sum of eighty silver dollars paid by the said Alvey to the said Bagby, Martin & Green the receipt whereof the said Bagby, Martin & Green do acknowledge themselves satisfied and paid hath conveyed and sold to the said Alvey a tract of land lying in the County aforesaid on the waters of Wrights Creek beginning on Nancy Martins line at a stake running west to a red oak thence south to Isaac Martins old line to a post oak thence east with said line to Nancy Martins corner to a pine thence to the beginning containing 100 acres of the same more or less including the improvements whereon said Alvey now lives and the said Bagby, Martin & Green do forever warrant and defend the aforesaid premises from their heirs and assigns & from the claim of all persons whatsoever unto the said Alvey his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof they the said Bagby, Martin and Green hath here unto set their hands & seals this 25th day of October AD 1802.
