Morgan of the County of Wilkes & State of North Carolina of the one part and Thomas Johnson of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and inconsideration of the Sum of fifty pounds to me in hand paid by the sd. Thomas Johnson the Receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged that he the sd. Benja. Morgan hath given granted bargained Sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and Sell unto the Said Thomas Johnson his heirs and assigns a Certain Tract or Tracts, parcel or parcels, of Land being in the County and State aforesaid and Lying on Middle fork of Roaring River BEGINNING at Two pines and a red oak it being Larkin Clevelands Corner Runing thence South four hundred and three poles to a Chesnut oak & Chesnut Tree near a Small Branch thence East three hundred poles to a Chesnut and white oak Tree thence North one hundred and Sixty poles to two red oaks in a bottom thence West Ten poles to a post oak and two white oak Saplings thence North along a Said Line to a Conditional line Between the sd. Benja Morgan & Wm. being Just the line the sd. Morgan allotted to run Between himself and his Son Charles Morgan thence along the Various Courses of the said line to the first Station to Clevelands Corner and lying in Said Benja. Morgans plantation & Containing five hundred acres of Land with the appurtenances and all Rights privileges and improvements to the Same in any wise Belonging to the to him (sic) the sd. Thomas Johnson his heirs and assigns forever and the Said Benja. Morgain (sic) himself his heirs to hereby Covenant and agree to and with the sd. Thomas Johnson that he the sd. Thomas Johnson his heirs and assigns Shall and may forever hereafter peaceably and quietly Enjoy Occupy and possess the aforesaid granted Land and premises without the least molestation let or Trouble from any person whatsoever and the sd. Benja. Morgan his heirs Executors & administrators do by these presents warrant & Defend the aforesd. granted Land and premises to him the sd.
