Morgan of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina of the one part and Wm. Johnson of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and inconsideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds to me in hand paid by the sd. Wm. Johnson the Receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged that the sd. Benja. Morgan hath given granted bargained Sold and by these Presents do give grant Bargain and Sell unto the sd. Wm. Johnson his heirs & assigns a Certain Tract or parcel of Land being in the County aforesaid & Lying on the Middle fork of Roaring River. BEGINNING at Two pines & a Red Oak being Larkin Clevelands Corner thence along the sd. Clevelands line to three white oaks thence East Twenty one poles to two maples and a beach on the South Bank of sd Creek thence along a Conditional Line to a red oak near sd. Clevelands Waggon path thence Runing along the sd line to the Creek being a Conditional Line Between sd Morgan and Henry Gambill thence Down the meanders of sd. Creek to fork thence East along sd. Conditional Line to sd Morgans North and South Line thence along sd line to a Conditional Line Between sd. Benjamine Morgan and his Son Charles thence along sd. Conditional Line to the first Station at Clevelands Corner the aforesaid three hundred acres of Land with the appurtenances and all rights Privileges and improvements to the Same in any wise belonging to him the sd. Wm. Johnson his heirs and assigns forever and the sd. Benja. Morgan himself his heirs do hereby So Covenant to and with the sd. William Johnson that the sd. Wm. Johnson his heirs and assigns Shall And may forever hereafter peaceably and Quietly enjoy Occupy and possess the above Granted Land and premises without the least molestation let or trouble from any person whatsoever and the sd. Benja. Morgan himself his heirs Executors & administrators do by these presents warrant and forever defend the aforesaid granted Land and premises to him the sd. Wm. Johnson his heirs & assigns forever against the claim Right Title or Interest of any person Whatsoever. In Witness whereof the sd. Benja.
