Smith Pamandgar@aol.com November 14, 2006, 9:36 am 100 acres on waters of Lewis Fork Written: January 10, 1803 Recorded: July 1806 This Indenture made and Confirmed this Tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three between Jonath. Wall of the State of South Carolina & County of Spartenburgh, Planter of the one part & Stephen Adams of the County of Wilkes. Witnesseth that he the s’d Jonathan Wall for and in consideration of the Sum of twenty pounds specie to him in hand paid by him the s’d Stephen Adams the Receipt whereof he the s’d Jonathan Wall doth hereby acknowledge himself herewith fully Satisfied & paid & by these presents doth Grant bargain Sell convey confirm unto the s’d Stephen Adams a certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying & being in the State of North Carolina & County of Wilkes on the waters of the South Fork of Lewis’ Fork Beginning on Abraham Wiggins line on a Stake Running east with the s’d line fifty poles to a white oak then North one hundred and twenty poles to a Sourwood the agreed line made between Nathaniel Vannoy & s’d Wall then North forty two deg’s West with s’d line one hundred poles to aged oak and maple, then West eighty poles to a Mahogany & chestnut then South twenty seven deg’s East two hundred and thirteen poles to the first H_ _ _? Together with every Right Title privileges and appurtenances to the s’d Land belonging or any wise appertaining to have and to hold to the s’d Stephen Adams his heirs and assigns forever and the s’d Jonathan Wall for himself his heirs doth hereby bind himself his heirs &C to well & truly warrant and forever defend the afores’d land and premises free and clear of all encumbrances & claims of any person or persons whatsoever. In Witness wereof the s’d Jonathan Wall hath herewith set his hand & seal the day and date above written.
