Times is hard here money is scarse and hard to get. Corn is worth $1.00 per bus wheat from $1.15 to $1.25 per bus bacon from 12 1/2 to 15 per lb live stock is dull for cash. I can tell you sad news my son Alexander died about three years ago and this last February two of his girls died with the measels and fever. They both about grown young women and I have only two children alive in this country and one of them is a getting very low she has been sick for some time. I have a plenty to go upon at present and I am still able to get about and attend to my business as yet and one of my grandsons is a living with me. I have nothing more to write that would be of any intrust to you so I will come to a close for this time by asking you to write soon and fail not. I even remain your grandma until Death. to Amanda J.
