Johnson Hampton of Wilkes County was in Wilkesboro Tuesday when he told the 
editor of the Chronicle that he never missed coming to town on Saturday for 
over fifty years until he went blind four years ago. He is now 74 years old 
and claims to have never missed a day of court.
