SUICIDE IN WILKES
-- We learn that JAMES ATES, residing in Wilkes, fifteen miles west of 
Wilkesborough, committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol, on the 
20th of August last. His remains were not found until the 11th of September. 
The deceased was about 40 years old.
