Per the 1900 census Elliott, KY  John and Susan Riddle are living with Isom 
and Lucinda Adkins
 
Isom Adkins and Lucinda Riddle. Place and date of marriage unk.
 
There is no birth record on Isom per census b. 1861 KY
 
Isom seems to have had a second wife per census and death record. prior to 
1920 he is with Lucinda Riddle and in 1920-1930 his wife is Sally. I don't 
know if Lucinda died or they were divorced. Can't find death record on her
 
Per County death record: Isom Adkins b. Nov, 4 1861 Elliott, KY, d. June 12, 
1940. Spouse Sally
Parents: Brock Atkins and Martha Atkins.  I believe the informant had Isom's 
mother wrong. 
All evidence shows Owen and Isom were brothers. Both the sons of Brock Adkins 
and Sarah Ison.
 
NOTE: 1870 Census for Braxton and Sarah Adkins - Lists children Owen b. 1855 
and Howard I. matches to the same birth date as Isom 1861-1862. There is no 
Isom listed but Isom could be Howard's middle name
