Wilkes County, NC - Will of John Ferguson Sr., 1838 ~~~~~~~~~~ Wilkes County, North Carolina Will Book 4 page 198 John Ferguson Will In the name of God Amen. I John Ferguson Sr. of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina being at present in reasonable good health and as I believe of my reasonable mind and memory and calling commend the great uncertainty and the certainty of death has thought proper to make a last will and testament in the manner of ___ as follows to wit: 1st I recommend my soul to God who gave it to me and that my body be decently buried in the usual form. 2nd It my will and desire that all my just debts if there be any be paid. 3rd I will that Jane Triplett have one dollar. 4th I will that Linder Triplett have one dollar. 5th I will that John Ferguson Jr. have all my possession of land that I now hold. 6th I will that Joel Ferguson have one dollar. 7th I will that Margaret Freeman have one dollar. 8th I will that Majah Ferguson have one dollar. 9th I will that Nimrod Ferguson have one dollar. 10th That Sarah Triplett have one dollar. 11th and lastly it my wish and desire and I hereby appoint my friend Mason Walters and Abijah Fairchild Executors to this my last will and testament where of I have set my hand and seal this 12th day of may 1834.
