WILKES COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Harold Hayes, 20 Dec 1912 ----¤¤¤¤---- Bk-7 page 543 North Carolina Dec 20 1912 Wilkes County I, Harold Hayes of said County and State being of advanced age and of sound mind, knowing that it is appointed unto man once to die. I therefore deem it necessary to dispose of my property that it has been the will of kind providence to bless me with. Item 1st: I will that all my just debts if any be paid by my executors. Item 2nd: To my daughter I. L. Barnett I will and bequeath all that part of my land lying south of the Spring branch, commencing at the creek, running with said branch to its head, thence up the same holler to M. L. Hayes line thence with said line a south course to his white oak corner, thence same course to T. C. Tevepaugh his and J. H. Parker's line, thence with same to west course to the ford of the creek, thence up the creek to beginning. Item 3rd: To my son M. L. Hayes, I will and bequeath all the balance of my lands to him his heirs forever. Item 4th: To my daughter-in-law M. E .Hayes, I will and bequeath the orchard at my old place Item 5th: To my son M. L. Hayes and daughter I. L .Barnett, I will and bequeath all my household and kitchen furniture to divide between themselves. Item 6th: To my grand-daughter Grace Hayes, I will and bequeath one small red cow. I hereby appoint my son M. L. Hayes my executor to this my last will and testament. H. Hayes Witnesses: J. P.
