WILKES COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Leander Johnson Sr., 22 Mar 1860 ----¤¤¤¤---- Transcribed by Harold Anthony Lloyd In the name of God Amen, I Leander Johnson Snr. of Wilkes County in the State of North Carolina being weak & frail in body but of strong mind and memory do make this my last will & testament in the manner and form following to wit First I give to Frances Lucinda Johnson two Beds and all furniture one Beauro, one candle stand, to Polly H. Johnson I give ? beds and furniture, one Beauro, one cupboard and cupboard ware to be divided between them. The following property I give to Polly H Francis L & Saml M Johnson to wit all the balance of the Household & Kitchen furniture including castings of all kinds smokehouse? lumber? & all the wheat corn and Bacon on hand at my death all the hogs sheep & cattle, all the carpenter tools & farm tools all the Books except the two Bibles, the Bees & Stands?, also my negro boy Ned all the Gearing all the potatoes of all kinds also one plow horse the grey? mare. To Leander Johnson Jr & Saml M. Johnson I give my ? Waggon & the Blacksmither tools, to S M Johnson I give my two Bibles and one ShotGun, to Polly H. Johnson I give the Mare ? and to have immediate possession of the same and dispose of the ?, My Other Waggon I do not sell it myself. I empower my executor hereafter named at private sale to Sell the same, the ? of My estate that shall be on hand at my death and which consist mostly of money & notes, and the wagon before named I wish my executors to collect and first pay to son John H. Leander Johnson was born March 10, 1785, married Franky Johnson around December 7, 1811 in Wilkes County, N.C., and died February 25, 1861 in Wilkes County, N.C. Lettie Amanda (d. November 28, 1909) married Lewis William Holbrook (b. October 16, 1830, d. January 18, 1915) whose children included John Tyre Holbrook (b. August 9, 1867, d. October 28, 1902) whose children included Mabel Joyce Holbrook (b. April 12, 1900, d. September 14, 1989) wife of Chauncey Columbus Sidden (b. June 4, 1896, d.
