Owens The last will and testament of William Owens Senior In the name of god A men I William owens senior of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina being Weak unfirm in Body – But of aperfect Mind and memory – Do Make and ordain this to Be my last will And testament revoking all former wills whatsoever – First I give my sole unto the Lord that gave it and Body to the earth to Be decently Entered The funeral Charges with all my just Depts duly Paid – this Being my Last will and desire – First I give and Bequiath unto my Beloved sons John owen William owen Thomas owen Barnet owen and my Beloved daughters Mary Denny Anne Dudley Elizabeth Judd one Shillion starling in gold or silver Each to Be Pade out of my Estate – And I give and Bequeath Unto David owen my well Beloved son all and Singuler my lands and tenements which he is to have And to hold to him and his heirs Executors and Assigns for ever – only my Be Loved gran son Elishe owen the first son of David owen when he comes of Age to have fifty pounds good and lawfull Money of this State and I give unto the said David owen all my other Estate whatsoever this Be – And I Do apoint and ordain my son David owen to Be My Whole and sole Exscutor-------- Turn over (page 2) Brought over And To Perform all that is Requiset on his part giving under my Hand This twenty eight day of September one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five – signed and sealed in presents of US Test Benjamin Jones his X mark William Owen his X mark William Cash his X mark Francis Kearby his X mark Hennery Pumphry his X mark State of North Carolina } Wilkes County } January Term 1788 The within Will was Duly proved in open Court by the Oath of Benj.
