Cook to Granberry Etheridge Deed Surname: Cook, Barnes, Harris, Simpson, Williamson Deed NORTH CAROLINA} WILSON COUNTY} This indenture made this the third day of December Eighteen hundred and Eighty three between A. J. Cook of the County of Johnston and State of North Carolina, Executor to the last will and testament of Lazarus Cook, Dec'd, and Granberry Etheridge of the County of Wilson and State of North Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth: that whereas by virtue of the will made by Lazarus Cook, Dec'd, and dated the 8th day of January 1849 and duly proved and Registered in the office in Nash County on the 15th August 1854 I, A. J. Cook, executor to the said will have duly advertised according to law a certain tract of land left in said will to be sold and sold on the third day of December 1883 at public outcry at the court house door in the town of Wilson Granberry Etheridge being the last highest bidder which was three hundred and seventy six dollars for which I the Said A. J. Cook Exr. do sell and convey to the said Granberry Etheridge a certain tract of land sold as aforesaid for the sum of three hundred and seventy six sollars to me in hand paid by the said Granberry Etheridge have sold and conveyed unto Granberry Etheridge a certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Wilson and State of North Carolina and bounded as follows Viz. Beginning at a Sweet Gum in Shepherd's Branch thence running west with Henry Williamson's line to a Red Oak his corner thence south with Spencer Williamson's and B. G. Simpson's line to a White Oak B. G. Simpson's corner thence east with Harris and Barnes line to a Red Oak in Shepherd's Branch, thence up the meanders of said branch to the beginning containing seventy three acres more or less to have and to hold in fee simple and I the Said A. J. Cook do warrant and defend the rite and title of the said land to the said Granberry Etheridge his heirs and assigns forever clear and free from all claims whatever in fee simple so far as I can do as Exr. to the last will and testament of Lazarus Cook Dec'd to which I have hereunto set my hand and seal in presence of (signed) J.
