Eason of Wilson County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said James Hocott and wife Delphia and Rich Hocott for and in consideration of the sum of seven (?) hundred and eighty seven and 51/100 dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain, and sell to the said Abner S. Eason, his heirs and assigns this piece or tract of land in Wilson County on Little Contentna Creek bounded as follows beginning at a Black Gum in said creek Litha Owens corner thence S 2 degrees W 105 poles to W pine Litha Owens other corner. thence S 68 1/2 degrees E 93 1/2 poles to a lightwood stake Warren Dilda corner thence S 3 degrees W 90 1/2 poles to pine Warren Dilda corner in Bery Moores line, thence No 2 1/2 degrees W 244 poles to a pine John Hughes corner in Bery Moores line. Thence N 4 degrees W 117 poles to a stake John Thigpen corner. thence N 88 degrees W 74 1/2 poles to a stake, another cornor of John Thigpens. thence No 2 degrees 123 poles to a stump a corner of the lands of the heirs of Isaiah ___. thence S 88 degrees E 139 1/2 poles to the Creek Betsy Edwards corner thence down the various courses of the creek to the beginning containing 315 acres more or less. To have and to hold with all the improvements and appurtances to the said Abner S. Eason his heirs and assigns. The said land having been sold to said Eason in April 1869 and part purchased money paid and bond for title executed. And the said James Hocott and wife and Rich Hocott do covenant for themselves, their heirs executors and administrators ____ the said Abner S. Eason his heirs and assigns to forever warrant and defend the possession of the said land against the lawful claim or claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said James Hocott, wife Delphia Hocott and Rich Hocott have by this Attorney George Howard hereunto set their hands and seals this Jany 27, 1871.
