Mason with permission of the HARDY family. The following Deed was inserted in the HINNANT/NEWSOME Bible. DEED P.L. WOODARD to Elmore HINNANT Jany. 20th, 1894 In Book 35, page 406 S. M. WARNER, Register of Deeds This Deed made by P.L. WOODARD to Elmore HINNANT, witnessest: That for and in consideration of Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to the said P. L. WOODARD has bargained and sold and does by these presents bargain, sell, and convey to the said Elmore HINNANT, the following described tract of land. One tract of land in Wilson County, Black Creek Township, adjoining the lands of H. D. LUCAS, Jesse TREVATHAN, A. BARNES, E. J. BASS, P. L. WOODARD and others, containing eight acres, more or less, it being a part of the land conveyed to the said P. L. WOODARD by S. A. WOODARD, mortgage, as by reference to said Deed from said S. A. WOODARD to said P. L. WOODARD will more fully appear. To have and to hold the above described tract of land to the said Elmore HINNANT and his heirs in fee simple. And for the consideration aforesaid, the said P.L. WOODARD binds himself and his heirs to warrant and defend the title to the said tract of land to the said Elmore HINNANT and his heirs, from the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.
