Stanton, Appolas, Private
Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops
Born in Wilson County and was by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting in 
Lenoir County on April 25, 1861. Present or accounted for until captured at 
South Mountain, Maryland, September 14, 1862. Confined at Fort Delaware, 
Delaware, where he died on October 19, 1862. Cause of death not reported.
