Raymond Junior Everett,63, of 4 St. Egnatios Drive, died Tuesday in Riverside 
Hospital.  He was born in Wilson County, NC, and had lived on the Peninsula 
since 1952.  He retired from the sheet metal department at Newport News 
Shipbuilding in 1975 after 23 years of service.  He was a member of West 
Hampton Baptist Church.  He was also a member of Newport News Moose Lodge No. 
1119, and the Legionnaires of Moose.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Faye Satterthwaite of Williamsburg, 
Mrs. Sallie Ketchum, of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Joyce Clifton of Seaford, and 
Mrs. Kathy Bailey of Newport News; a son Randy Everett of Charlotte, NC; two 
sisters Mrs. Sudie Saunders of Lucama, NC, and Mrs. Ellen Baker of Wilson, NC; 
a brother Joseph Everett of Sharpsburg, NC; 13 grandchildren and a great 
grandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, at Peninsula Funeral Home by 
the Rev. William C. Russ, pastor of West Hampton Baptist Church. Burial with 
Moose rites will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral 
home.

Additional Comments:
Raymond was the son of Silas E. Everett and Elizabeth Pearl Owens Everett and 
was born in Wilson, NC.
