Richard Peerey. Burial was in the church cemetery. Holland-Rideout Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge. Pallbearers were: Charles Weaver, Wayne Holland, Larry Weaver, Daniel Weaver, Keith Weaver, Tony Rhodes, David Rhodes, Steve Copeland, Dennis Copeland and Gene Weaver. Mrs. Weaver died Saturday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. A native of Wilson County, N.C. she was the widow of J.D. Weaver Sr. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and its Faithful Workers Sunday School Class and was a past president of its Woman’s Missionary Union. She was a member also of Happy Homemakers Club of Carrsville and Young at heart Club of Windsor. Survivors include five daughters, Sylvia W. Holland, Peggy W. Rhodes and Patsy W. Copeland of Windsor, Doris W. Berry of Virginia Beach and Cherly W. Taylor of Suffolk; three sons, Joseph E. Weaver Jr. and Jerry M. Weaver of Norfolk and William Frank Weaver of Windsor; two brothers, J.E. Barkley of Sharpsburg, N.C., and Herbert E. Barkley of Wilson, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
