Wilson County, NC - Will - Ferrell, John-1862 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Hunter Ferrell Will of John Ferrell Will Book 1, p. 88 State of North Carolina Wilson County March 13th, 1862 Know all men by these presents, that I, John Ferrell, being weak in mind body, but of sound and disposed mind, and calling to mind the immortality of my body, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form to wit: First, I leave for my just Debts to be paid. Second, I lend to my beloved Wife all of my property after paying my just Debts. I lend to my Wife one Horse, and one cow and calf, five head of hogs, six head of sheep, one loom and gear, one Table, two feather beds steads, and furniture, one Chest, all of my pots and skillet. I lend my Wife all the Kitchen Furniture, one spinning Wheel, all of my Cider Casks, one double Barrel Shot Gun, and Tools, and the poultry, and after the Death of my Wife, I give to my Daughter Delila Watson, all of the above mentioned property that may remain after the Death of my Wife, and to my Daughters heirs. And lastly do constitute and appoint Jacob Rentfrow, my Executor to this my last Will and Testament.
