Farrow, Celia Farrow, Elizabeth Johnson, Margaret Johnson, K(i)siah Johnson, Charley Ruffin, Nancy Ruffin, Guilfor Ruffin Petition to Sell Land for Assets To the Clerk of the Superior Court for said County: The petition of David Williams Administrator respectfully showeth- Outstanding debts about $75. Value of personal estate (0000) nothing. That, at the time of her death, the said intestate was seized in fee simple of the following land, a tract of land in Wilson County adjoining the lands R. D. Johnson, P. S. Petway & others, containing twelve acres, or thereabouts of the value of about $10 per acre. Your petitioner further showeth- ( ? ) Blount Attorney for Petitioner David Williams, Adm. vs Perry Farrow & wife & others The administrator begs leave to report that in accordance with an(d) order hertofore issued that he, after having given the required notice offered for sale the land discribed in the petition, on the 14th day of January 1871 at the Court House door in the Town of Wilson, where and when P. S. Petway appeared and bid the sum of three hundred dollars which being the last and highest bid, he was declared the purchaser who immediately complied with the terms of sale. The administrator further reports that the price is a fair one and recommends the confirmation thereof. D.
