Wilson County, NC - WILL - Webb, Easter-1888 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jo Webb STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA WILSON COUNTY I, EASTER WEBB of the County of Wilson and the State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existense do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows. That is to say first that my executor hereafter named shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relatives and friends, and pay burial and funeral expenses together with my just debts however and whomever owing out of the money that may first come into his hands as a part of my estate. 1. I first give unto my son REDDICK WEBB a piece or part of my land to wit as follows, lying and being in the County of Wilson County and State of North Carolina lying on the North side of Authers Creek adjoining the lands of ELBERT WEBB in a line commencing at the deep Branch at a lightwood stake running near a South course to a lightwood stake thence nearly a South course to a lightwood stake thence West to the line to a lightwood stake, thence a South course to a pine standing in the meadow, thence East to a stake at HENRY BRINKLEYS line, thence North to a lightwood stake in JOSEPH WEBBS corner, thence nearly a North course to a long leaf pine and long said line to a rosemary pine thence to a lightwood stump, thence to the deep Branch to the Canal and up said Canel about two hundred yards to a lightwood stake to or at the beginning containing by estimation to be (55) fifty-five acres to be the same or less which land REDDICK WEBB is to pay over to EMMA WEBB (100) one hundred dollars. 2. I also give to my granddaughter EMMA WEBB (1) one feather bed and five dollars to buy a bed stead with and five (5) bed steads, 1 copper, 1 blue checs, and one white with fringe trimmings (2) two plain white sheets and (4) four bed quilts and one yarn blanket and sixty yards of homespun cloth. 3. I give or loan unto my son ELBERT WEBB during his natural life about (17) acres of land to be the same more or less and after his death I give the said land unto ELBERT'S son PATRICK WEBB. 4. I give unto LUCINDA HARRELL my daughter fifty dollars in money and one feather bed and three steads, 1 white and 1 copper and one undersheet and two bed quilts and I give her my interest in my land at ELBERT WEBB, SR. 5. I give unto my son ELBERT WEBB one dark red ox. 6. I give unto my son WADE WEBB one dollar in money. 7. I give unto my son REDDICK WEBB one bay horse. 8. I leave the remainder of my entire indebtedness to be divided among my heirs. 9. I do nominate, constitute and appoint my son REDDICK WEBB my sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all and every other will or wills and do declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness where of I the said EASTER WEBB have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this the 3 day of August 1888.
