YADKIN COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - Ball Family Cemetery ----¤¤¤¤---- Ball Family Cemetery, off Petty Rd., Hamptonville, Yadkin Co., NC Coming from I77 take 421 east, then take the Hamptonville Hwy 21 exit toward Statesville, go about 2 miles and Petty Rd. will be on your left, stay on Petty Rd. for 1 ½ miles, you will see an old abandoned house on your left, covered with honeysuckle vines (this is the Ball Homestead), about 2 tenths of a mile after the house will be a gated dirt road into the woods on the left. This road goes through the woods and into a tobacco field; stay to the right edge of the tobacco field until you get to the corner of the field, turn left with the field and go along the edge of the field for about 50 ft. If you stand back from the tree line you will notice a LARGE oak tree within the woods. The Ball Family Cemetery is under and around this oak. There are 12 to 15 unmarked fieldstone markers.
