Sheriff Shot by Moonshiner

Yadkinville - Sheriff J.E. ZACHARY, of Yadkin county, was shot through the heart 
and killed at a blockade distillery, eight miles from Yadkinville, the county 
set.  

Three men were at the plant and all of them arrested and brought to the Forsyth 
jail for safe keeping. 

Rev. A.A. CAUDLE, a Baptist minister of Yadkin county, accompanied the sheriff 
to the moonshine plant and declares that Robah BAITY, aged 23, is the party who 
did the shooting.
