YANCEY COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - Abandoned Cemetery (Possibly Robinson) ----¤¤¤¤---- Location: From 19-E and the mouth of Prices Creek Road, go 1.3 miles up Banks Creek; turn on the Will Anglin Road; follow this road about a mile. Go past the old Ball house (not the ridge above the barn) to a wooded area on the right and climb up the hill into the woods . Note: I was told by Francis Anglin that he could remember going to the cemetery when he was a small boy, and could remember people coming to the cemetery for decorations. He thought they were Robinsons. (Could this be Wilson-Riddle # 295 on the 1939-40 Cemetery Survey?) Joy Ball and I traveled there today, 8/11/2004, and found at least 21 graves marked with fieldstones. ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
