Yancey County, NC - Bennett-Barnett Cemetery BENNETT/BARNETT CEMETERY: From 19W North in the Ramseytown area turn onto White Oak Flats Road. Go to the top of this ridge (Hiram Miller Gap) and bear right, go about 4 miles down to and along side the river. Look to the left and follow the lane up the mountain to the cemetery. (At one time the only way to get to this cemetery was from the Poplar side of the river and cross by boat.) Condition: Fence is down in some areas but generally in good condition.
