George Bowditch, 1844 - 2-2-1914 2. Jackson Flack, 9-9-1878 - 6-26-1902, S/o W.M. & Dullia Flack Note: This stone was listed on the 1939-40 WPA Cemetery Survey but was not found on recent survey - 2003. 25 - 30 graves marked with fieldstones. Death certificates Charlie William Wilson - about 80 year old slave, died 7- 14-1939, S/o Charlie W. Wilson and Polly Anderson, and his wife, Chaney Wilson, died July 19, 1936 at age 98 years (A old slave) Daughter of Charlie Stacey & Harriett Dellinger. Both certificates state "Buried at Ray Cemetery" Death Certificate for Jennie Gardner Bowditch, died Feb. 2, 1921, age about 96, W/o George Bowditch, D/o Jake & Mary Gardner Roland is said to be buried at Prices Creek Cemetery and thought to be buried here with her husband. Pollie, married but no surname listed, died April 11, 1918, age 50, D/o Tom Percie & Jennie Gardner, according to death certificate is said to be buried at Prices Creek, likely at this cemetery. Other possible slaves listed as being buried at Cane River and likely at this cemetery are: Flora Bowditch, died Oct. 10, 1916, about 32 years old, married but no husband's name listed, D/o Jim Ray & Phyllis Gardner. Smokey Blythe, about 30 years old, colored, single construction worker from Birmingham, Alabamam killed on July 17, 1914 by pistol shot accident. Nathan Ray, black male, married, died June 6, 1916 at the age of 105, parents names unknown. Alfred Summey, 70 year old Negro widower, farmer, died Oct. 22, 1932.
