Cemetery is on ridge back of house. Condition: Good SURNAMES; PIERCY, BYRD 1. Vaughtie Ivory Piercy, b. 2-28-1891 - 6-27-1906 "Gone but not forgotten" (This grave is enclosed in an iron fence) 2. Floran Byrd, 10-4-1875 - 7-12-1898, "22 years, 9 months, 8 days Daughter of M. C. & Sallie K. Byrd" 3. Sallie Cate Byrd, 9-14-1841 - 11-8-1915 "Wife of M. C. Byrd - She was a kind and affectionate wife and fond mother and friend to all" (D/o James and Mary Piercy Wilson. Death cert. gives dod as 11-10-1915 and name as Kate) 4. Mark C. Byrd, 5-29-1844 - 5-2-1903 "How desolate our home bereft of thee" Civil War Marker "CORP. MARCUS C. BYRD CO G 29 NC INF CSA 1844 - 1903. These graves are enclosed in a fence adjacent to # 1. At one time there was a building over # 2 and also another building over #s 3 & 4 built by Tom Robertson.
