Yancey County, NC - Byrd Cemetery

BYRD CEMETERY:  Location:  Take 19E from Burnsville toward Mars Hill. Turn 
right onto 19W at Prices Creek Store.  Turn left and continue on 19W toward 
Erwin for approximately 7 to 7.5 miles to Piney Hill road which is on the right.  
Turn onto Piney Hill road and go 2.3 miles to the cemetery which is located on 
the left side of the road.  The road makes a fork before you get to the cemetery 
so bear left.  You will pass a small white church on your left about 1/2 to 
3/4 mile from the cemetery.
Condition:   A chain link fence surrounds the grounds which are well kept.  
A "BYRD CEMETERY" sign is on the fence.
