Yancey County, NC - Byrd Cemetery - Coxes Creek

BYRD CEMETERY (Coxes Creek) - Location: From 19E, 3 miles west of 
Burnsville turn onto Jacks Creek Road and go to Coxes Creek Road. 
Follow Coxes Creek to top of mountain, turn down the other side of 
the mountain and go past an old house on the right, then immediately 
you will come to a driveway on the right. Cemetery is located on the 
right on the steep bank just as you turn up this driveway.  
 
Condition:  Fair

1.  Marcus L. (Lafayette) Bennett, Sept. 3, 1856 - Oct. 29, 1958  
    Age 102, (Son of Gaines and Lavina Peterson Bennett)
2.  Charlotte Byrd, Feb. 10, 1874 - Oct. 17, 1942 - 68y, 8 m, 7 days, 
    (D/o Sam and Nancy Adkins Williams, Wife of Jim Byrd)
3.  Thelma Byrd, Nov. 5, 1933 - Nov. 18, 1933, (D/o Jim & Belle Byrd)
4.  Jim (James Avery) Byrd, Dec. 5, 1865 - Oct. 15, 1949, (Son of Newton 
    & Cordelia Tipton Byrd
