YANCEY COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - Conley, McCourry, Patterson, Turner Cemetery

From Jacks Creek Road turn onto Bobwhite Drive, then right onto Grovewood
Drive. Follow this road about 1 mile, go past a house on the left,  just past
this house is a little building, park here and walk a short distance out into
the woods.  Marker is near a rail fence. These graves are in separate clusters
between house and out- building. 

"Four cemeteries are near here.
Dr. John W. Conley born 1816 and wife, Margaret born 1820
Amanda and Jane, daughters of Mack and
Lucinda McCourry, born and died 1860's
John W. Born 1847 and Sarah A. Born 1856, children of Jehu
and Nancy Patterson, died the same night in the 1860's
Mr. Turner, buried by night, since permission had been denied.
