YANCEY COUNTY, NC - CEMETERIES - Gardner Cemetery

From 19E turn onto Phipps Creek Road and go 1.8 mile to Banks Creek junction. 
Bear left and go .6 miles, turn left and park at the Old Banks Creek 
School/Church.  Go thru a pasture to the top of the hill in a northerly 
direction.
Condition:  Good

2.  Julia Gardner, 1876 - 1934 (1-14-1877 - 7-20-1933, W/o # 11, D/o Charles &

4.  Harrie Gardner, 7-30-1909 - 10-31-1912
5.  Cecil Gardner, 3-25-1914 - 6-1-1914 (On death cert. name is Jocephus, 
    S/o # 2 & 11)

7.  William H. Gardner, 8-26-1848 - 11-2-1920 (William Hunter Gardner,  
    S/o J.J. & Nancy Young Gardner).
8.  Martha Young Gardner, Died 1934 (10-3-1854 - 5-5-1934, Wife of  # 7, 
    D/o Mack & Elizabeth Butler Young)
9.  Ida Gardner Allen, 1874 - 1958, (5-18-1874 - 2-3-1958. D/o 7 & 8, 
    Wife of William Allen who is buried at Salisbury VA Cemetery).
10. Mack D. Gardner, 1885 - 1959 (8-11-1885 - 8-25-1959, S/o 7 & 8.  
    His wife was Mattie Hutchins)
11. M. C. Gardner, 1881 - 1967 ( 1-14-1881 - 5-15-1967 - 
    Miles O' Conner "Conn" Gardner, S/o # 7 & 8, Wife- Polly H. Gardner) 

Note:  There were 6 unidentified graves at the northeast corner of this 
cemetery.  Also to the right of Mack D. Gardner's grave, there were three 
white wooden markers about 12 inches long  placed on the ground about four 
feet apart possibly  to mark graves.
