Yancey County, NC - McClurd Cemetery ~~~~~~~~~~ MCCLURD CEMETERY: From Burnsville follow 197S to the rock crusher; across the road you will see a swampy area, look for a deer trail to the left. Follow this trail about ½ mile to the old Linzio McMahan house. Look up above the house in a valley about 150 yards from house (about 1:00 o’clock) to the right on sharp ridge. Autrey, 6-19-1892 – 9-2-1932 John Rathbone, 1873 – 1945 Lillie Melissa Rathbone, 5-4-1958, Age 83 Two small graves - Markers unreadable, said to be a little boy and a little girl, children of some workers who lived there or near there.
