Ordered by court that Willie C. Bailey be appointed guardian of the heirs of Allen and Nancy Bailey, deceased, instead of his Father, Levy Bailey, upon bond and security. A deed from J. G. Blount by his agent R. Love to Jesse Young was proved in court by Thos. Gardner, one of the witnesses thereto. A bond from J. G. Blount by his agent R. Love to Blasingame Hensley was proved in court by Thos. Gardner, witness thereto. A bond from J. G. Blount by his agent R. Love to Jas. Hensley was acknowledged in open court by the executor thereof. Thomas Wilson, Sheriff produced in open court a bond according to act of Assembly which was accepted by court. Ordered by court that A. L. Thomas Vance, William Edwards and William A. Hensley were duly sworn in as deputy sheriffs of said county. The widow of John Bennet deceased appeared in open court and entered her descent to the Last Will and testament of John Bennet deceased and claims her dower at the common law and years provision. She also filed her petition for a commission to be appointed to lay off for herself and her family one years provisions and also her petition for a jury to lay off her dower out of the real estate of her said deceased husband.
