I received yours of April 11 was glad to know you was all well we will send the pictures you wanted sent back to you. would have sent sooner but there has not been no Artist here till lately. It affords us great satisfaction to hear from you and to know that you have not forgotten us tho I must acknowledge that I am negligent about writing to you. I oftn think of you and would be so good to see you all nothing on earth would be more gratifying to us in our old age than to see you face to face and to be together once more in life. O how happy we would be could it be so. But many hills and mountains and Broad Rivers separate us. So that in al probability we will never meet again on these low grounds of sin and sorrow here on earth. But may the Lord grant that we may meet in a better world than this where sorrow and parting will be no more is my ernest desire and prayer to Almity God times hard in Yancy money scarce provisions not plenty it rained so much it injured crops vary much there has been a great deal of Fever in Yancy since last spring and a great number deaths your Incle Hutson & Uncle Mitchel to both dead and a number more of your acqiantances also had a letter from W.
