Dec 1st 1899 Dear Brother and Sister I write to you to tell you that we are all in Common health and is usually well as you could expit us to be at our 76th year we are able to get around yet and take care of our business all right yet. We got your letter of Sept the 6th 99 was glad to hear from you and hear that you was all well & doing well we would be glad to see you & all your children we would to have all your pictures It would be a great Satisfaction to see how you all look we are in our appearancy be age since you saw us like old folks the older we get the better we look. I will tell you about the children. Nelson was married in 1871 has 10 children, 9 boys & 1 girl They live in Union County Flag Pond Tenn Moses was married in 1877 has 7 children they live in this county at Day Book. Po Logan was married in 1877 he has 8 children he lives here at Day Book. Terrissa Jane is living at home with us. She married in 1875 her husband died in 1889. She has no children Polly Buna Vista Miry Adalade was married in 1878 She has 7 Boys & 1 girl She has been aflicted for some years with Paralasis. She lives at Day Book Yancy Conty. She married Columbus Deyton. We are having a railroad in 3 miles of here will be finished by the first of June. So you can come to see us any time on the train & write to us & we can meet you at the Road at any time & get home for Supper. We have had a dry season this year crops is short in sections of this County I have made plenty to do in this year & has plenty of slack to do us. Times is close money matters is dull in this county labor is in demand for building the RR & (& is underlined) moving Timber out of this County but wages is very low (Signature page missing.
