MARIE BENNETT

GREEN MOUNTAIN – Marie Ensor Bennett, 76, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 in 
an Asheville hospital. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the 
late J.C. and Geneva Briggs Ensor, and wife of the late Howard Bennett. She
was a member of Bailey Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Pauley of Burnsville; one son, R.C. 
Bennett of Wilmington, DE; a sister, Hazel Haney of Boothwyn, PA; four 
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. 
Monday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. 
Rev. Bobby Revis officiated. Burial followed in Bailey Cemetery. The family
received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
