I therefore desire to make this my last will and for and because of the love I have for JOBE EFFLER, HENRY EFFLER, CATHERINE LANING?, POLLY CARAWAY, MARGARET MCFALLS and MARTHA EFFLER my bodily heirs to divide my lands between them as farely as I can considering what I have given some of them in other property heretofore and what I have received of some of them since they have been of age. Now I will and give to MARTHA EFFLER a part of my homeplace as set forth and described in a deed I made to her bearing date July the 14, 1896 and HENRY EFFLER the other part of my homeplace in Yancey County supposing his part to contain 25 acres as set forth in a deed to him bearing the date July 14, 1896. Now I will and give to JOBE EFFLER, begins on his white walnut corner then up and with the branch to my field then Southwest to his line then with his line to the beginning. This is of my land in McDowell County, this piece not being as much as others get ------- is other property recorded by him I have considered. Now I will and give the remainder of my land on Buck Creek in McDowell County to except what is enclosed in my field nearest Jobe Effler -------- CATHERINE LANING?, POLLY CARAWAY and MARGARET MCFALLS for them to devide equally between provided however the said MARGARET MCFALLS does not hold a tract on brick log fork in McDowell County that I gave a part of to her & sold the remainder to her which there is now a litigation on and if she holds it I want CATHERINE LANING and POLLY CARAWAY to have the Buck Creek place between them equally in value.
