This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Sandra Allen Fender fender@hci.net ==================================================================== Yancey County Record of Wills Volume # 2, page 77 Microfilm # C.107.80001 State of North Carolina, Yancey County I NOAH LETTERMAN of the County and State aforesaid being of Sound mind and in feeble health do hereby make and declare this Instrument to be my last will and Testament. 1st I will and bequeath my soul to God who gave it and my body to a common grave in the earth. 2nd I will and bequeath to my daughter MARY JANE HENSLEY all of my personal property consisting of Household and kitchen furniture, farming tools and livestock, consisting of cattle, hogs and other articles now belonging to me or that I may lawfully own at my decease. I also will and bequeath to her the said MARY J. HENSLEY my home place where I now live containing thirty four acres more or less the said tract of land was by me conveyed to D. W. LETTERMAN with an agreement that he should take care and maintain both me & my wife SARAH LETTERMAN during our natural lives. Which said agreement he has willfully failed to comply with and has never furnished said support or any part thereof. And said support and cow having been furnished by the aforesaid MARY J. HENSLEY and her husband W. M. HENSLEY and now I Therefore declare as my last will and Testament that they shall justly possess and enjoy the same for their service in caring for me in my last sickness.
