And being desireous to dispose of the property both real and personal that God has blessed me with therefore I make and publish this my last will and Testament that is to say . I. I give and bequeath my soul to God who gave it me & my body to Earth from whence it came and that my burial shall be such as my kindred may desire. II. That my executor hereinafter named pay my funeral expenses together with my just debts if any I owe. III. I will devise and bequeath unto my beloved brother JOSHUA WILLIAMS & my beloved sister LUCRESIA DIXON my farm situate lying and being in the state of Tenn. and in the County of Carter on waters of Buffalo Creek and known as the - ---Spring Farm containing one hundred and ninety acres more or less where JAMES M. WILLIAMS now lives and joining lands of George & Agnes Cob? & George Horn on the south and W. W. Bauren? on NE & little SAMUEL WILLIAMS NE & part NW & Heirs of SAMUEL WILLIAMS deceased on the west at a poplar then west 33 poles to a corner made in the divide of the lands of the Heirs of SAMUEL WILLIAMS deceased then S 55 poles to the line of George & Agnes ---- to the first named line. IV I will devise and bequeath unto my beloved brother EDMUND WILLIAMS all and every of my undivided interest in and to a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Yancey, State of North Carolina east of Burnsville on South side of Public Road joining land of J. & W. WILLIAMS, J. W. GARLAND and others, Beginning on a stake and rock at Public Road North of J. & E. WILLIAMS barn & runs East with public road to J. W. GARLANDS line then south with said Garlands line to a cucumber then a west course along a ridge to J. & E. WILLIAMS line then North with the said line to the beginning containing eleven acres more or less. V I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved brother EDMUND WILLIAMS all and every of my undivided interest in a second tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Yancey and State of North Carolina, situate in a North East course from Burnsville adjoining lands of S. M. BENNETT and others, Beginning at a branch on a poplar in a line of a piece of land purchased from S. H. Fleming by S. M. Bennett & runs as per deed made by S. H. Fleming to JOSHUA & PHINEAS WILLIAMS containing six and one half acres more or less. VI I give and bequeath to my beloved sister L. A. DIXON one organ of the Betty? make. also one sewing machine of the Singer make. VII I give and bequeath to my beloved brother JOSHUA WILLIAMS one sorrell mare. VIII I will and give to by beloved nephew JOHN L. DIXON my rifle gun & pouch. IX I hereby appoint JOSHUA WILLIAMS my true and lawful executor and enjoin unto him the duty of carrying out and perfecting this my last will and Testament.
