Youngs Will In The Name of God Amen I John P. Young of the County of Yancey and State of North Carolina, Being of sound mind and desposing memory do ordain this my last will and Testament. Believing in the truth of the Holy Scriptures, I commend My Soul to God who gave it and it is my will that my Body shall be decently buried and the funeral expenses together with all my just debts be paid. I will and bequeath unto ALLIS GARLAND, wife of MARCUS GARLAND (colored) in compensation for services rendered me all my household and kitchen furniture, all the bacon & corn that may be on hand at my death and one cow and yearling the same to be her sole and separate property from her husband Marcus Garland.
