The cemetery is located beside an un-paved county road off state Highway 5 west of Bottineau, North Dakota, and near the east banks of the Souris (Mouse) River. This cemetery is small, very well maintained and surrounded by farm land. The front portion has some very nice mature evergreen trees and the cemetery is identified by a freshly painted, wooden sign near the front and by the road. The cemetery was the church cemetery for The Nedaros Lutheran Congregation of the Norwegian synod which was organized the 15th of August, 1895 by Pastor Christian D. Eikenas (born in Norway in 1862) and five voting members. Other serving pastors were Martin Teigen, N.J. Njus and J.D. Dale. The church building was built in 1899 on Gunnerius Storvestre land. In 1915, the congregation had 30 voting members. Today, the church building no longer stands and only the cemetery remains. Transcription date: July 1999 Starting on the front side of the cemetery, nearest the un-paved county road.
