Williams THE WEEKS CEMETERY The Weeks Cemetery is located in Bentinck Twp, six miles south of Westhope, ND then five miles west, and one mile north on the prairie trail. The Weeks family donated the land for the cemetery. At one time there was a Presbyterian church located just to the south of the Cemetery. The cemetery is kept in very good condition after the Presbyterian Church in Westhope got some volunteers together and cleaned it up and put up a new fence. The Huber family has kept it up for the last several years up to this date. (Nov 17, 2002). The following is a list of the tombstone information. 1. Tombstone inscription is WEEKS - I heard the voice of Jesus say come unto me and rest. There are two footstones that read -Mary R b. Feb 8 1877 d. Jun 18 1901 and the other reads Jessie M b. Apr 26, 1901 d. Sept 1, 1901 2. Tombstone reads Paul P Zirkle b. July 27, 1900 d. Aug 13 1904 Inscription reads - A little flower of love that blossomed but to die. Small stone at foot has the letters P.P.Z. 3. CC Baker d. Apr 18, 04 Age 33 The inscription is carved into a piece of field sandstone 4. Tombstone inscription - Mrs. Will Ella Hendrehen 1877-1904 5. Tombstone reads Our babies NICHOL There are three small markers at foot with just the names - Verna - Stella - Mary 6. The next two markers are next to each other and are two field stones with no inscription 7. This one is the largest stone in the cemetery and it reads BRASSET with a B at the top of the stone. At the foot are two markers -Peter 1841-1913 71Yrs.5Ms.14 Dys. the other one reads Andrew 1848-1913 65 Yrs.5Ms.7Dys. 8. Tombstone reads GRUBBS Molly Brasset 1892-1916 Note from R Williams: (Molly was married to B X Grubbs) 9. Tombstone reads ARNOLD Mrs. Cora E. Arnold b. Jun 18 1876 d. May 19 1912 inscription reads How many hopes lie buried here Footstone reads CORA 10. Tombstone reads HUBER Mary J 1854-1914 Rev John 1847-1926 two footstones read MOTHER FATHER 11. Tombstone reads Cletus E Woods born Mar 20,1884 Died Mar 13, 1912 Aged 28 Yrs. 12. Tombstone reads Olav R.Navelsaker, Born Jan 30, 1882 Died June 6, 1904 13. Single obelisk tombstone has two inscriptions on separate faces. First one is Chris S Steinhaus Born Dec 30, 1903 Died Jan 21, 1904 The second one reads Herman Steinhaus Born Dec 21, 1904 Died Jan 23, 1905 That is all of the visible graves.
