B. Payne was called to the vicinity of Willow City to view the remains of a man named August Dahl who was found dead on the Bottineau branch of the Manitoba railroad. He was a man of about 26 years of age, somewhat addicted to drink, but not excess. On his way home from Rugby Junction in company with Carl Julsind, Andrew Kud and Julius Kud, and when about six miles from Rugby, he complained of feeling sick, and after sitting down about ten minutes got up and walked about ten rods, when he sat down and was dead in a few minutes. The coroner's jury, consisting of George Straub, Wm. Hogan, and Henry Erickson, brought in a verdict of death caused by heart disease.
