A Fatal Accident

An old gentleman named Emery, who has been staying with C.E. Jones for 
sometime, at Newport, while assisting Mr. jones in hauling hay Thursday 
afternoon, fell from the load and broke his neck. The accident occurred about 
3 o'clock in the after noon, and at 10 in the evening the man died, after 
seven hours of intense suffering.
