DIED.
On Wednesday night, May 30th, 1888, at his home seven miles north of Villard, 
of quick consumption, H. W. Ferry, in the 49th year of his age.
In the death of Mr. Ferry McHenry county loses one of its most intelligent and 
respected citizens, and his family deprived of a kind, indulgent father. Mr. 
Ferry was born at Plymouth, Chenanga county, N. Y. Sept. 13, 1839, and came 
with his family to McHenry county about four years ago, thus becomes one of 
its pioneer settlers. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his untimely 
departure, to whom the kindest sympathy of the whole community goes out with 
deep emotions of regret.
