A cloud of sadness was cast over our community by the sad intelligence from 
Willow City, that Charles Holton had met an untimely death by an accident in a 
thrashing machine. He was feeding a separator, and his hand was caught in the 
cylinder and immediately his whole arm was wrenched from his body causing 
almost instant death. Mr. Holton was a section foreman here for over a year, 
and was loved and respected by all who came in contact with him.
