One week after Mrs. Ives arrived in Dakota, she received a letter informing 
her of the sudden death of her husband, Mr. Ozro Ives, of Caneadea, N.Y., two 
days after her departure. She left him in his usual health and was expecting 
him to follow her in a few weeks and make their permanent home with Mrs. A.J. 
Parker, their only surviving child.
