A daughter and four sons are left to mourn his loss. Rev. P.E. Royse, pastor of the M.E. Church, Mouse river mission, officiated at the funeral. Mr. McComb was born at Cross Creek, Washington Co., Pa., in the year 1828. He moved with his parents to Iowa in 1841, and thus entered upon the hardships and privations of pioneer life at the age of 13. He removed with his wife and children to Stillwater, Minn., in 1866, where, in 1868, his wife was taken from him. In 1881 he came to Dakota, and has lived on the frontier ever since. For eighteen years he has cherished in his heart the image of his angel wife, and now he, too, has passed through the pearly gates of the Celestial City and has been reunited beside the waters of the River of Life. All is well with him. God's will be done. Card of Thanks To the kind friends who assisted and comforted us in our great bereavement; to Rev. P.E. Royse, who stopped on his journey to perform the last sad rites, and to his estimable wife, we wish, through the columns of the LEADER, to express our heartfelt and sincere thanks, and hope that in their hour of trouble they may meet with as many kind hearts and sympathetic friends.
