Mrs. Swenson was one of the pioneer ladies on Mouse river, having moved here with her husband on June 9th, 1882, when there were but three other women in this portion of North Dakota. She was a most exemplary woman, a kind and affectionate mother, and was held in high esteem by her neighbors and all others who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. Her remains were confined to their final resting place in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery on Monday last, the funeral rites were being conducted by Rev. T. S. Reishus, of St. Carl. The funeral cortege was on of the largest ever formed on Mouse river. She leaves a family of seven children, the youngest two years old, to be cared for by the bereaved husband.
